Bowling Green and college faculty reach deal on cuts

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — A union representing faculty members has reached an agreement with Bowling Green State University over planned job cuts.

The agreement deals with the school’s plan to cut about 40 faculty contracts.

The deal calls for the university to pay severance to those with four or more years of full-time service. There are 18 eligible faculty members.

The university says payments will be based on salary and years of service.
