Canfield swim team wins at dual-meet


The Canfield High School swim team defeated Hubbard Jan. 14 at a dual-meet. The boys won with a score of 134-35 and their record is 8-0.

Quadruple first place winners included Connor Brady (200-yard medley relay, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 400-yard free relay).

Triple first place winners included Kyle Anderson (200-yard medley relay, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly) and Michael DiDomenico (200-yard freestyle, 200-yard free relay, 400-yard free relay).

Double first place winners included Daniel Bogan (500-yard freestyle, 400-yard free relay) and Nick Palermo (200-yard medley relay, 200-yard free relay).

Other first place winners included Drew Bennett (400-yard free relay), Matthew Bogan (200-yard medley relay), Jared Rothbauer (200-yard free relay), Alec Gaetano (200-yard free relay) and Ben Brucoli (100-yard breaststroke).

The girls team won with a score of 125-54 and their record is 7-1.

Quadruple first place winners included Olivia Williamson (200-yard medley relay, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 400-yard freestyle relay) and Mallory Allen (200-yard medley relay, 200-yard individual medley, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard free relay).

Triple first place winners included Theresa Mikolay (200-yard medley relay, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard free relay) and Briana O’Malley (100-yard butterfly, 200-yard free relay, 400-yard freestyle relay).

Double first place winners included Maggie Beistel (200-yard medley relay, 400-yard freestyle relay) and Sarah Heaven (200-yard freestyle, 200-yard free relay).

Other first place winners included Carlie Oddo (diving), Rachel Williams (500-yard freestyle) and Morgan Weiss (400-yard freestyle relay).
