Commissioners OK contract with CSEA supervisors, lawyers

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County commissioners approved this morning a three-year labor contract with four supervisors and two lawyers in the county’s Child Support Enforcement Agency that contains no pay increases.

The employees, who belong to Teamsters Local 377, had already ratified the agreement, which is retroactive to July 1, 2011, and ends June 30, 2014.

The supervisors earn between $59,400 and $62,000 a year, and the lawyers are paid $66,500 and $71,500 annually.

Karen U’Halie, county human resources director, said she could not explain why the contract took so long to negotiate and ratify because she did not become the county’s HR director until last April.
