Country Christmas at Hotel Conneaut

CONNEAUT LAKE, PA.

Hotel Conneaut at Conneaut Lake Park will present Country Christmas Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event includes horse-drawn sleigh rides, breakfast with Santa at 10 a.m. Sunday, an indoor Christmas tree display contest, mulled cider, warm beverages and cookies. Lecture on history of holiday fashion

YOUNGSTOWN

Jessica Trickett, manager of collections of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will give a presentation titled “Seasonal Style: A History of Holiday Fashion” at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Arms Family Museum Carriage House, 638 Wick Ave. Attendees will learn about holiday fashions from 19th century party dresses to the 21st century Christmas sweater. Trickett will also discuss the progression of the Santa suit from the early St. Nick to the modern day Santa Claus. The lecture is included with admission to the “Memories of Christmas Past” exhibit at the adjacent Arms Family Museum. Call 330-743-2589 for information.
