The family of Ursuline junior Lauren Petro wishes to thank the community for their prayers and concern since she fell ill at the Ursuline vs. Massillon Perry Basketball game last week.
Lauren was treated at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. The team of pediatric cardiologists who treated her implanted an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) to prevent this from happening again.
Lauren intends to return to Ursuline once school resumes in January. The family said it will have no further public comment.
