ASSOCIATIONS

Trumbull Retired Teachers Association is collecting monetary donations for Second Harvest Food Bank as well as candle wax, canceled stamps, cell phones, eyeglasses, hearing aids and yarn. AUXILIARIES

St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital Auxiliary will have its annual Christmas luncheon at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Columba Cathedral Parish Hall.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1955 will have its monthly breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ at the Mathews Road Plaza in Boardman. All classmates, spouses and guests are welcome. The Christmas party will be Thursday at Cafe 422 on South Avenue in Boardman.

South High School Class of 1957 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at TJ’s Restaurant at the Holiday Inn on South Avenue in Boardman. The classes of 1956 and 1958 also are welcome. The club meets the second Wednesday of each month.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

Mahoning Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Monday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Carol Tallman, DAR member and fundraiser chairwoman, will talk about “The History of Christmas Cookies.” The group also will sponsor a basket auction. Meetings are open to women interested in joining. DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Round Table Woodcarvers will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Senior Independence Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower church.

Seton III will meet at noon Thursday for a social followed by a Christmas luncheon at Johnny’s Restaurant, Market Street, Boardman. The program on Christmas will be presented by the social committee. The charity project is feeding families for Christmas. Hostesses are Lori Brennan, chairwoman; Helen Golden; Angie Phillipone; and Mary Sheridan.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. in Canfield. Guests and new members are welcome. They have teamed with the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Youngstown to distribute food baskets to families at Thanksgiving. The club will sponsor Santa Claus at Farmers National Bank, 20 S. Broad St., Canfield, for the next three Saturdays. The schedule for each visit is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Dec. 13 and Dec. 20.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: Monday, meet at new Panera Bread on Market Street in Boardman for dessert at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank from 5 to 7 p.m.; and Thursday, speaker night at the church at 7:30 p.m.

Girard Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Girard Free Library.

McDonald Historical Society will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Woodland Park Senior Center, 500 Ohio Ave.

Poland Historical Society will celebrate the Christmas season together after its 6:30 p.m. meeting Dec. 16 at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 4515 Center Road in Poland Township. Members are asked to take a covered dish to share. Sandwiches, dessert and beverage will be provided. American Legion Post 131, 540 N. Main St., Leetonia, will make final bylaw revisions at a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sebring American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary will meet for its Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post. All members are encouraged to attend. Take your favorite finger food to share and a white elephant gift to be used as prizes for bingo. Don’t forget to send in 2015 membership dues.
