Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dowling
AUSTINTOWN
Thomas and Evelyn Dowling of Austintown marked their 50th anniversary on Aug. 14 with a dinner and vacation at the Milestones Grille at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls, Niagara Falls, Ontario, where they honeymooned. Their daughters and their families and Patricia and Perry Kimmel, sister and brother-in-law of Mrs. Dowling, surprised them at the restaurant.
Their daughters are Dineen Dowling of Akron, Dawn Wrask of Austintown, Dana Pechatsko of Canfield and Dyan Dowling of Loveland, Ohio. The couple have eight grandchildren.
Mr. Dowling married the former Evelyn West on Aug. 15, 1964, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman.
Mrs. Dowling retired from Sterling Security Systems in Austintown, where she was secretary and treasurer.
Her husband retired as president of Sterling Security Systems. He also is known as Tom Phoolery, a magician and entertainer for children.
The couple are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and served from 1959 to 1965. He attained the rank of second class petty officer.
