YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department has made an arrest for the shooting death of Shawn Cortez last weekend.
Police will have a press conference at 1 p.m. today at council chambers on the sixth floor of Youngstown City Hall, 26 S. Phelps St.
Cortez, 17, was killed Sunday. The shooting took place on Winona Avenue. Detectives said they have developed information over the past several days which led to criminal charges being filed against several defendants.
