WARREN

Drakkar D. Little, 20, of Woodbine Avenue Southeast was sentenced to six years in prison Wednesday for committing a home-invasion robbery at a house on South Butler Street in Niles in May.

Little pleaded guilty before Judge W. Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to three counts of aggravated robbery, three counts of kidnapping and one count of aggravated burglary.

Niles police said Little and another man broke into the house at 10:30 p.m. while a man, woman and salesman were talking about insurance.

Little and his accomplice tied up the victims with shoelaces, then fled, taking two cellphones, a gold bracelet and cash, said Niles police Capt. Ken Criswell.

The insurance salesman, who has a concealed-carry license, got loose and followed the suspects, who were in a van. At the Fuel Plus gas station, 140 W. Park Ave., the salesman held a gun on the driver, a 17-year-old female, until police arrived.

Little was arrested a couple of hours later, Criswell said.
