Mill Creek Park's Lanterman's Mill extends hours, boathouses open

YOUNGSTOWN — Mill Creek Park’s boathouses at lakes Glacier and Newport will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in May for the rental of kayaks and pedal boats.

The Lake Glacier boathouse is on Price Road. The Lake Newport boat rental facility is on West Newport Drive.

The park’s Lanterman’s Mill will expand its hours to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays in May, with a $1 admission fee for Mahoning County residents; $2 for nonresidents. The fees are 75 cents for students and seniors; and children, 6 and under, are admitted free.
