Animal-cruelty law seminar May 16

Animal-cruelty law in Ohio will be the subject of an all-day seminar May 16 at Angels for Animals, 6385 W. South Range Road.

The event, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., will be conducted by Atty. Jeff Holland, a leading Ohio animal-protection advocate.

The seminar has been approved by the Ohio Supreme Court for six hours of continuing-education credit for lawyers.

Besides lawyers, judges and magistrates, the event is open to government officials, officeholders and employees, law-enforcement personnel and people working for animal-welfare agencies.

Fees are $120 for lawyers and $10 for nonlawyers. Lunch is included.
