Warren man gets 7-year federal prison term


YOUNGSTOWN — A federal judge in Pittsburgh has sentenced a 62-year-old Warren man to seven years in prison after his conviction for possessing with intent to distribute crack cocaine and heroin, the U.S. Attorney said.

Matthew Hosey, whose offense occurred April 24, 2013, will be on supervised release for six years after he leaves prison under the sentence imposed on him Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Cathy Bissoon.

The case was investigated by the FBI, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Southwest Regional Police Department, and Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
