Penn State student from NJ found dead at residence


STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — A Penn State student has been found dead in his residence near the central Pennsylvania main campus.

State College police said 22-year-old Darren Stafford of Princeton Junction, N.J., was found by friends on this morning.

Police Lt. Keith Robb said police arriving at the residence found the Penn State senior in “full cardiac arrest.” Stafford was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10 a.m.

Robb said there was no trauma and the death was not considered suspicious. No cause of death was available pending an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
