YOUNGSTOWN — The boil water alert for Austintown and Canfield townships is lifted.
The Youngstown Water Department lifted the alert shortly before noon today. The alert was called after customers in the two townships lost water or had low water on Sunday.
Testing of the water by the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District showed it to be safe and noncontaminated, according to the city water department.
