A fundraising event for a 52-year-old Sharpsville, Pa., cancer patient is scheduled for July 19 at Lakeside Golf Course.
Registration is 7 a.m. at the course, and tee-off is at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the 9th annual Sunshine Benefit Golf Outing will be donated to Debbie Sloan, who was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in 2012.
She has undergone surgery and chemotherapy but was diagnosed in November 2013 with stage 4 colon cancer.
The unemployed patient is the mother of four.
The event will be followed by a steak fry with entertainment at Ball Busters Sports Bar, 3661 Mahoning Ave.
The cost is $225 per team and includes food and cocktails.
The dinner for those who don’t play golf is $30 for one person and $50 for two.
