The Xtreme Allstars competed at the US Finals in Chicago on April 18 bringing the title of first place champions back to Northeast Ohio.

The U.S. Finals aims to crown the true champions in all divisions and levels of cheer and dance, giving teams a chance to see where they rank against other teams in their respective divisions from coast to coast and around the world.

Xtreme Allstars Mini and Youth Championship squads are coached by Marian Mitolo-Diana, April Kendra, Jessica Ross and Jaclyn Gerba. The coaches started the teams less than a year ago, competing in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus and Erie. Xtreme was the only youth cheer squad in the area to win a full paid bid to the US Finals. Alysa Oswald and Brianna Perry, fifth-grade students at Austintown Intermediate School, compete with Xtreme AllStars Youth level two squad.

In addition to the first place awards, Xtreme was presented with the Facebook Fan Favorite Award, receiving more fan votes than approximately 300 teams competing in Chicago.

The cheerleaders practice at the Niles Wellness Center.
