New Middletown Police host drug take-back day Saturday

NEW MIDDLETOWN — The village police department is hosting “Drug Take Back Day” from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Municipal Building, 10711 Main St.

Anyone can drop off unwanted, unused or expired drugs in order to have them properly disposed. Also, improper disposal of the drugs by either throwing them in the garbage or flushing them down the toilet has the potential to put harmful contaminants in the water systems and soil, police officials said.
