Austintown police investigating apartment burglary

AUSTINTOWN — Cash and prescription medication were taken from an apartment late Monday night.

A Kirk Road resident told police she forgot to lock her apartment at 9 p.m. Monday and returned an hour later to find her purse missing.

She told police $600, along with a pre-paid debit card, were in her purse. Also in her purse were prescriptions for an antidepressant and Vicodin.

There were no signs of forced entry.
