Local runners finish Boston Marathon

Local runners finished the race of their dreams.
The 118th annual Boston Marathon kicked off Monday morning with 36,000 entrants from around the world.
An American man won the marathon for the first time since 1983. He was also the first American to win since 1985. Meb Keflezighi, 39, of San Diego, ran 26.2 miles in 2:08:37.
The female winner was once again Rita Jeptoo, 33, of Kenya with a time of 2:18:57. She beat her time of 2:26:25, which gave her the title in 2013.
Seven of the local runners were featured in a Vindicator story Monday.
Kevin Guthrie, 39, of Struthers finished with a time of 3:08:46. He ran 7:12 a mile.
Dr. Vincent Marino, 41, of Poland received a time of 3:12:14. He ran a pace of 7:20 a mile.
Amy Pagac, 31, of Boardman finished with a time of 3:34:17. She ran a pace of 8:11 a mile.
Jaclyn Disibio, 30, of Poland said she finished with a time of 3:34:47.
Tammy McFarland, 37, of Austintown finished the race with a time of 3:45:06. She ran a pace of 8:36 a mile.
Jonathan Bolha, 32, of Austintown finished the race with a time of 3:47:11. He ran at a pace of 8:40 a mile.
Jane Timmins, 35, of Huron had an estimated finish time of 6:23:49. She ran a pace of 14:39 a mile.
“It was amazing,” Disibio said. “It was so safe. There were so many people.”
She did say it was a difficult course.
“I would definitely do it again,” Disibio added.
