Woman charged in theft from Walmart

Boardman police arrested a Youngstown woman after she was accused of stealing more than $500 in merchandise from Wal mart.

Sharayshia Jones, 20, of Youngstown is also charged with drug abuse.

Police were called to Walmart on the report of a theft on Friday night. Loss prevention told police Jones placed several items in her shopping cart and attempted to leave the store.

Altogether the 78 items were valued at $577.53. When police searched Jones they found 13 Tramadol pills - a narcotic-like pain reliever - inside of her wallet.

Three other females with Jones that also placed items in the cart fled and were not apprehended.
