Vandals cause $25K damage to Pa. campus

YORK, Pa. (AP) — Police say someone smashed windows and caused an estimated $25,000 in damage at Penn State’s York campus.

The vandalism and burglary happened late Saturday night at the school’s main classroom building. The vandal smashed 13 windows and threw a chair into a vending machine.

The York campus opened late Monday and followed a shortened schedule to allow enough time for cleanup.

Officials said all of the damage happened in less than 15 minutes. They said security cameras recorded the incident.

An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.
