New all weather track approved at Jackson Milton

NORTH JACKSON

The Jackson-Milton Board of Education recently approved the construction of a new all weather track.

The project started on March 16 by R. T. Vernal with a completion date in June 2014. About $100,000 has been donated for the all-weather track which will be located between the elementary and the middle/high school.

When completed, the track will be surrounded by a six-foot-high fence with multiple turnstiles to protect the track. The track will be open to students and staff daily and to the community during evening hours and when events aren’t scheduled.
