The employees saw two people approach the east- side main entrance wearing all black with ski masks. Two of the employees attempted to lock the doors, but the pair forced their way inside.

Once inside, the man held a knife to two of the employees in the kitchen. The female took the third employee to the back office, held a small handgun to the employee’s head, and demanded money from the safe and drawers. East Side man faces weapons charge

YOUNGSTOWN

An East Side man was charged earlier this week in the U.S. Northern District Court of Ohio, Cleveland, with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Dorian Christian, 38, was charged Tuesday in federal court after Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force officers and local members of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration served a search warrant at a 448 N. Garland Ave. home Monday and found a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber pistol.

An affidavit attached to the case said Christian admitted having the gun. The affidavit said Christian was sentenced to 37 months in prison in 2006 for three counts of distribution of cocaine/cocaine base, which bars him from owning a firearm.

He is in federal custody.
