Vice officers arrest three, get two guns

Police seized two guns and arrested three people Wednesday while serving search warrants investigating drug activity.

Officers at a home on Griselda Avenue served a warrant about 6:15 p.m. and found four bags of heroin, five bags of marijuana, a bag of crack cocaine and a box with assorted rounds of live ammunition inside.

Arrested on charges of possession of drugs heroin, possession of drugs crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia was Sontell Wright, 22, of Youngstown. He was taken to the Mahoning County jail.

Earlier, at a home on Lois Court about 5 p.m., police serving a warrant there found Kenneth Coates, 23, sitting in a chair with a Glock semiautomatic handgun with an extended clip inside the waistband of his pants. He was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

Police also found a magazine of 9 mm ammunition, a Ruger semiautomatic handgun, boxes of 9 mm and .40-caliber ammunition along with a bag of heroin, a digital scale and a small number of pills.

Arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drugs/heroin was Terrance Johnson of Youngstown, no age available.

Both Johnson and Coates were taken to the county jail.
