There is a new Panera Bread coming to the area.
Covelli Enterprises, LLC will open another Panera in mid-August on the corner of Market Street and Debartolo Place.
Covelli currently operates about 250 Panera locations in four states and Canada.
In Boardman, there is a Panera in the Shops at Boardman Park that Covelli operates.
Director of Corporate Affairs for Covelli, Allen Ryan, said the new Panera will include a drive-thru service.
“We want to try to offer as many options as possible to our customers who don’t always have the time to come in and sit down and enjoy our food,” Ryan said.
The drive-thru Panera locations are typically smaller, he said.
Construction on the new Panera started in the last couple of weeks by De Salvo Construction of Hubbard.
The new location will bring in anywhere from 75 to 100 employees.
