CAMPBELL

City police arrested seven men on felony drug charges in just as many hours late Monday and early Tuesday.

All answered to those charges in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Bond for 28-year-old Demetrius Alan Lockett, of Glenwood Avenue in Youngstown, was set at $42,500, 10 percent cash or surety, for his five felony charges — illegal conveyance of prohibited items, aggravated trafficking in drugs, tampering with evidence, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine — along with his six misdemeanors and two traffic offenses.

Lockett will appear again in court Tuesday.

Police stopped a car driven by Lockett about 4 p.m. Monday on 12th Street for having objects hanging from his rearview mirror, and later discovered his driver’s license had been suspended. A search of Lockett and his car produced 140 pills, 2.8 grams of suspected heroin, 3.1 grams of suspected cocaine, two marijuana cigarettes, and $83 in cash.

For Irvin E. Caraway, 34, of Wendy Place in Cortland, bond was set at $5,750, 10 percent cash or surety, for his possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia charges. Caraway — who was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Monday after police found 1.6 grams of suspected cocaine and $380 in cash on him during a traffic stop — will next appear in court Tuesday.

Bond for Ricki Hill, 59, of Willis Avenue in Youngstown, was set at $6,750, 10 percent cash or surety, for his possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia charges; he will reappear in court Tuesday. Hill was arrested after police stopped him at 6:25 p.m. Monday for failing to use a turn signal on Murray Avenue. A search of Hill and his car produced 1.6 grams of heroin and $653 in cash.

Finally, bond was set at $5,750, 10 percent cash or surety, for 24-year-old Jeremy Pruitt, of Plazaview Court in Youngstown; 25-year-old Isiah Anthony Patterson, of McBride Street in Youngstown; and 26-year-old Jasper W. Wells, of Struthers Liberty Road in Campbell.

Pruitt, Patterson and Wells — along with 22-year-old Daniel Stanley Ho Sang, of Stewart Avenue in Youngstown — were charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after a McCartney Road traffic stop at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday led to a search of the car, revealing a loaded 9 mm handgun, 0.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine and a marijuana grinder.

Sang also was charged with carrying concealed weapons and cited for not having a rear license plate light. His bond was set at $11,750, 10 percent cash or surety, and he — along with Pruitt, Patterson and Wells — will appear again in court April 25.
