McNally retains Lantz as city prosecutor
YOUNGSTOWN — Mayor John A. McNally said today he is retaining Dana Lantz as the city prosecutor.
Also, Kathleen Thompson and Shelley Freeze are remaining as assistant city prosecutors, and McNally said he’ll appoint an additional assistant prosecutor by the end of the month.
Lantz, prosecutor for two years who’s worked for the city since 1998, was among those who applied for the job by a mid-December 2013 deadline when McNally was the mayor-elect after winning the November general election, and selecting his Cabinet members.
McNally says he’ll have a decision on a deputy director of public works appointment by the end of the month, and is restarting a search for finance director to replace David Bozanich, who remains on the job.
