Boardman police arrested a 32-year-old man Monday after he was accused of stabbing his girlfriend at the couple’s Oakley Avenue home.

Christopher Poe is in Mahoning County jail, where he faces charges of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony.

The victim went to the police department on Monday to report the assault about 6:30 p.m.

She told police Poe was drinking heavily and attacked her earlier in the day with a knife. She was stabbed in the leg, and her arm was slashed, a police report said.

He also threatened to kill her, according to the report.

The victim had at least four slash marks, a puncture wound and visible bruising on her face, but she did not wish to be cared for by medics.

Poe previously was arrested for domestic violence on his girlfriend in December.

He pleaded guilty to a reduced charged of attempted assault.

He has a hearing for the current charges at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mahoning County Area Court here.
