CANFIELD

Reba McEntire will return to the Canfield Fair this year.

The country music — and television and film — star will perform in concert at the grandstand Aug. 31, with opening act the Willis Clan. McEntire last performed at the fair in 2011.

Also coming to the fair will be country singer Justin Moore, with an opening act to be named later, on Sept. 1.

The fair board announced its grandstand shows today.

A new addition to the grandstand schedule this year will be the Lucas Oil Monster Truck Nationals on Aug. 27.

Tickets for all three shows will go on sale at 9 a.m. June 9 at canfieldfair.com; the fair box office in administration building No. 20 on the fairgrounds; and by phone at 330-533-4107.

The box office will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the first week it is opened, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday afterward.

Ticket prices will be posted at canfieldfair.com on June 9. All persons age 3 and over must purchase a ticket. Children under 3 will be admitted free but must sit on the lap of a ticket holder.

New this year, youth tickets for both the Aug. 29 demolition derby and the Aug. 30 truck and tractor pull will also be available on the website. No ticket exchanges for youth tickets will be made once the original purchase is complete.

McEntire has released 26 studio albums, with 40 No. 1 singles, 14 No. 1 albums in her long career. Known as the Queen of Country Music, she is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 80 million records worldwide.

McEntire’s film career began with the sci-fi film “Tremors” (1990).

She starred in the Broadway revival of “Annie Get Your Gun” and in her television sitcom, “Reba,” for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. She also starred in the short-lived sitcom “Malibu Country” last year.
