Friday, September 27, 2013

Dunkin’ Donuts has announced the winning artwork for the second “Miracles for Munchkins” travel mug design contest, which kicked off earlier this summer. Marianne May of Salem had the winning design, titled “Faith, Hope, Love.”

Talented artists from across the Mahoning Valley entered their original artwork creations that best depicted the miracles and promises delivered by Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.

May’s winning design is now featured on a limited-edition travel mug for sale at all Mahoning Valley Dunkin’ Donuts locations for $5 during the month of October. With the purchase of the $5 mug, guests will receive coffee refills for $.99 at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants through the end of the year. Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $5 for each mug sold during the month of October to the Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and have guaranteed the hospital a minimum donation of $20,000.

“I am so honored and excited that my drawing won the Dunkin’ Donuts mug design contest,” said May. “I hope that everyone in the area visits a Dunkin’ location to buy the mug in support of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.”

“Dunkin’ Donuts is very proud of our collaboration with Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley and we believe this travel mug design contest was a wonderful way to get the community involved in such a great cause,” said Thomasina Dennison, Field Marketing Manager for the Dunkin’ Brands.
