The Davis Family YMCA’s free, three-part fall lecture series by Dr. Rachel Hoffman covers the following topics:

“Dealing Effectively with Stress”: Wednesday, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

“Seasonal Affective Disorder”: Dec. 11, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

“Sticking with New Year’s Resolutions”: Jan. 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

“This lecture series is modeled around the idea that mental health is physical health,” said Dr. Hoffman. “Complete wellness means taking care of your mind, body and spirit.”

Dr. Hoffman is a clinical director at a behavioral health organization and an adjunct faculty member in the counseling programs at both Youngstown State University and Walden University.

She has written more than 15 scholarly journal articles and has presented more than 70 times at national, state and local conferences and workshops. She has experience in treating addiction, community-based mental health, inpatient psychiatric services and college counseling.

Lectures will take place in the Community Room at the Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Road. For information, call 330-480-5652.
