Semi jackknifes on I-80

AUSTINTOWN

A jackknifed tractor-trailer backed up Interstate 80 for about 20 minutes Saturday morning, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The accident happened at the ramp to state Route 11 south. There were no injuries, and no other vehicle was involved, the patrol reported.

Injured with box cutter

YOUNGSTOWN

A man was injured with a box cutter during a domestic dispute Saturday afternoon, police reported.

Police went to an Oak Park location at 2 p.m. The injured man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center with non- life-threatening injuries, police said.

Meeting canceled

The Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday at Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oak Hill Ave., has been canceled due to training.

Safe-zone training

WARREN

Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc., the Mahoning County Mental Health Board and the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board are sponsoring safe-zone training for school personnel from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The training will be in the first-floor conference room at the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board, Youngstown Road Southeast.

The Ohio Attorney General’s office has provided grant funding so each Mahoning and Trumbull county school system can send one staff member at no cost.

The training is to help school and agency staff create a safer place for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students. Call Help Hotline at 330-747-5111 to reserve a spot.

Boil advisory lifted

WEATHERSFIELD

A boil-water advisory that was issued Thursday for Cloverbrook and Meadowhill drives in the township has been lifted.

Two tests indicate the water is safe to drink, Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s office reported.
