Hiram College ranks No. 1 as ‘Best Bang for the Buck’

Hiram

Hiram College ranks first among liberal-arts colleges in Ohio in Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck” rankings of colleges and universities in the U.S.

Institutions were ranked on the basis of their commitment of financial aid to high need students, graduation rates, the cost of attendance and the ability of graduates to find meaningful jobs as measured against student-loan default rates.

Only 349 colleges and universities in the country made the final rankings. Hiram also is Ohio’s top-ranked liberal-arts college in “Social Mobility,” defined by the editors of the publication as an institution’s ability to graduate students from low-income families.

“Hiram College has a long tradition of meeting the financial needs of families,” said Thomas Chema, Hiram College president.

“Our tuition guarantee locks in costs for families, making Hiram one of the best buys in higher education.”
