The Solace Center, Trumbull County’s safe exchange and visitation program, is moving to a new location at the Trumbull County Children Services Board, 2282 Reeves Road NE, effective Friday.

Since March, Solace Center has been operating out of Valley Counseling’s Children’s Office on Mahoning Avenue Northwest.

The program, which received start-up money from Trumbull County Family Court, has outgrown its current facility.

“The number of families our program serves has increased since our opening and we are in need of a larger visitation area,” said Laura Berzonski, Solace Center program manager.

The Solace Center provides supervised visitation and safe exchanges to families who have experienced some type of trauma such as abuse, neglect, violence, divorce, separation or custody issues that can cause stress or difficulties for children.
