4 arraigned on drug charges in Campbell Municipal Court


CAMPBELL — Four men arrested Tuesday after police found more than 13 grams of suspected heroin and about $3,600 on them appeared for their arraignments today in Campbell Municipal Court.

All four men — Emilio Luis Silva Del Valle, 28, of South Jackson Street, Youngstown; Jorge Lortiz, 24, no address given; Juan Ortiz, 23, no address given; Alexander Torres, 42, of Kendall Street, Campbell — are charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

For trafficking in heroin, which is a second-degree felony charge, bond was set at $10,000, with 10 percent cash or surety, for each of the four men.

For the fourth-degree misdemeanor charge, bond was set at $750, with 10 percent cash or surety.

Lortiz, who was the driver at the time of the Tuesday traffic stop, was also cited for failing to display his driver's license and for having objects hanging from the rear-view mirror and blocking his view to the front.

Bond for Lortiz's traffic offenses was set at $2,500, with 10 percent cash or surety.

The four men will appear again in Campbell Municipal Court on Nov. 1.
