The Canfield girls doubles tennis team of Hannah Cianciola and Ashley Kaleel were eliminated from the Division I state tournament Friday after getting a difficult second-round draw.
The duo won their first round match 6-3, 6-0 over Katie Bercz and Gabby Verdin of Cincinnati Turpin, but ran into the tournament’s top-seeded tandem in their next match.
Anna and Allie Sanford of Lewis Center Olentangy Orange defeated the Canfield team 6-0, 6-0 and have yet to drop a set in the tournament’s first two rounds.
