Concert set Tuesday at St. Columba Cathedral

YOUNGSTOWN

The complete organ works of Maurice Durufl will be presented during a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W. Wood St.

Durufl (1903-1986) was a prominent Roman Catholic composer in Paris, France, and is probably best known for his Requiem Mass, which is based on Gregorian Chant melodies.

The concert will feature guest artist Dr. H. Ricardo Ramirez, music director and organist at Chicago’s Holy Name Cathedral.
