ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the gathering room of Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Avenue, Youngstown. CLASSES

CLUBS

International Torch Clubs Youngstown Chapter will have a dinner and discussion meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 in Kilcawley Center, Bresnahan Rooms I & II, at Youngstown State University. Dr. Charles W. Darling, professor emeritus of history at YSU, will speak about “The Ballad World of Francis James Child.” Musical examples will accompany the discussion. Dinner for nonmembers costs $20. Ohio Genealogical Society, Trumbull County Chapter, will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Thomas Meeting Room of the Warren-Trumbull Library, on 444 Mahoning Ave. NW in Warren. Judge Thomas Swift will speak about the holdings in the archives across the street from the courthouse. A recent flood has prompted concern about the condition and safety of the valuable records.
