POLICE CALLS

A summary of recent criminal activity in Liberty Township:

Nov. 21

Aggravated menacing: A Virginia Trail woman told police that during an argument at a Belmont Avenue gas station, a Struthers woman showed her a card, possibly a concealed-carry permit, then stated she could shoot the accuser.

Nov. 22

Misuse of a credit card: A Kingwood Lane man in Tokyo discovered three unauthorized charges to his credit cards in yens (about $3,700).

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 2600 block of Homestead Road through a side door, though it appeared nothing was missing.

Nov. 25

Harassment: A worker for Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, reported having received a threatening text message in which the author said someone could be paid to kill the employee unless she pays $1,000 within two days.

Theft: An employee with a Belmont Avenue motel told police a Salem man stole a duvet and its cover, two pillows and a set of towels upon checking out.

Theft: An elderly Overbrook Avenue woman discovered that $600 worth of jewelry missing from her residence was pawned.

Aggravated menacing: A Boardman woman at a Goldie Road store told authorities a man intentionally struck her vehicle with his when he was angered that she was unable to pull forward in traffic and allow him to back out of his parking space. The man also threatened to kill her, a report showed.

Recovered property: A Youngstown man reported finding his stolen 12-horsepower riding tractor in a scrap yard at PSC Metals Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

Threats: The president of a Belmont Avenue business told officers a subcontractor facing a grand jury indictment threatened him when told the accuser planned to end their business relationship.

Nov. 26

Harassment: An employee of a Liberty Plaza business said a man made a threatening call while she was at work.
