WARREN

A second man is charged with felonious assault in the Tuesday morning shooting of two men at a house on Ferndale Avenue Southwest.

Delquan D. Ware, 18, of Linda Drive Northwest was arraigned in Warren Municipal Court on Friday.

Ware and another man charged in the assaults, Kardell Lowery Jr., 18, of Maple Street Southwest, are being held in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of $300,000 bond. Judge Terry Ivanchak entered an innocent plea for Ware.

Warren Municipal Court records say Lowery and Ware are charged with shooting Davion J. Rogers, 22, of 2044 Ferndale. A second man, Jamal B. Coleman, 20, also of 2044 Ferndale, also was shot, but records don’t indicate that anyone is charged with shooting him.

Both men were treated at local hospitals.

Ware also is on bond after being charged in Niles Municipal Court last month with receiving stolen property and carrying concealed weapons.

Ware and Lowery both face prison terms of eight years if convicted.

The Niles charges stem from a traffic stop at 1:46 a.m. Oct. 29 on Youngstown Road near Eastwood Mall. A Niles patrolman stopped a vehicle owned by Ware’s grandfather for having a burned-out license-plate light. Ware was a passenger.

Police found a handgun in a bag in the back seat that had been lost or stolen in Champion Township. Ware admitted it was his, a police report states.
