ASSOCIATIONS

NARFE Chapter 14, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, will have a luncheon meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. The guest speaker will be the Northeast Ohio regional representative of Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office. Plans for a Christmas luncheon will be discussed. All federal employees are invited. AUXILIARIES

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room of the hospital on Belmont Avenue. The speaker will be Traci Manning from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society. Her topic is “The Impact of the Civil War on the Mahoning Valley.”

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1962 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Marino’s in Austintown.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

Girard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.

Mahoning Valley Retreads will meet Saturday at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. Breakfast will be at 10 a.m. with the general meeting to follow. Details of the upcoming Christmas party will be among the topics to be discussed. The Retreads is a social club, open to anyone over 40 who loves motorcycles. Metaphysical Insights 528 Group of Trumbull County will present Michelle Barbuto on Wednesday at the S.C.O.P.E. Building, 220 W. Market St., Warren. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Nov. 18 because of the Veterans Day holiday. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. followed by a program at 10. Carol Weakland will present “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.” Guests are welcome; reservations are not necessary. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are collected at the library from 10 to noon the first and third Saturday of each month.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Seton III will meet at noon Thursday at the Saxon Club on Meridian Road for a luncheon. The speaker is Sister Mary McCormick, Ph.D. Hostesses are Mary Lou Beck and Lori Brennan. Food and money donations will be given to needy families for Thanksgiving dinners.

St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at noon Monday at the Olive Garden in Boardman. Election of officers for 2014 will take place. Arlene DeChellis will give details on the Christmas luncheon. Telephone committee members will be calling for reservations.

Mahoning Valley Accounting Society is sponsoring a Professional Standards and Responsibilities seminar (formerly Ethics) Tuesday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The seminar qualifies for 3 hours of continuing professional education. The speaker will be Dr. Norman Meonske. The cost is $119 for members and $139 for nonmembers, and includes dinner.
