One Mahoning Valley softball team won and another lost in regional semifinal action Wednesday.
Mathews defeated Cuyahoga Heights, 1-0, in a Division IV matchup at Kent State University. Canfield fell to Navarre Fairless, 6-2, in a Division II matchup at Firestone Stadium in Akron.
