The 5th Annual PRIDE Youngstown Festival will take place in downtown Youngstown on June 7-8. Stormy Davis and Anita Davis will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the festival and the PRIDE organization that supports the LBGT community.

Next, Annie Zelm of Cedar Point amusement park will discuss the newest ride at the park, “The Gatekeeper.”

Finally, Gordon Bowen of LifeBanc, and sisters Candice Monroe and Patrice Monroe will discuss how easy it is to become an organ donor.

“Sunday Morning with Dee” (8 a.m. Sunday on WKBN-TV): Host Dee Crawford’s guests will be Joe Caruso, Lynn Bilal and Jan Baharis from Compass Family & Counseling Services. They will discuss the services they offer as well as an upcoming fundraiser that will benefit the Rape Crisis & Counseling Center and Daybreak Youth Crisis Shelter.

Ballroom dancing classes offered

Youngstown

Ballroom dancing classes will be held every Monday in June at the Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.

The classes will include instruction for every skill set. A beginners Ballroom course and social dance will take place at 6:15 p.m. A tango class at 7 p.m. will start with basics and move on to intermediate step patterns as the month progresses. The Silver Level Waltz and foxtrot class for experienced dancers will begin at 8 p.m.

The classes teach partner dances, but partners are not necessary to join the class. Cost is $5 per person per class. Free parking is available at the History Center.
