Tri-Gold Chapter of American Business Women’s Association selected Kay Meyers as its 2013-2014 Woman of the Year at a meeting Feb. 13 at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. Doris Almasy, 2012 Woman of the year, presented the crown.
She has been a member of the chapter for more than three years. During her tenure she aided the chapter with its scholarship program and basket auction. She is secretary of the club and has accepted that position for 2013-2014.
Meyers retired from General Motors fabricating plant in 2007. She lives in Warren with her husband, Jim. They have four daughters, Tammy Fridley, Karla Neal, Missy Upperman and Lisa Keller.
Attending the coronation were Fridley, Neal and Meyers’ granddaughter, Rachel Hake.
