SALEM
Salem Historical Society and Salem Public Library have created a citywide scavenger hunt that challenges Salem residents to use clues to find historical facts about Salem and seek out landmarks in the city.
Starting time will be 6:30 p.m. June 3 at the Quaker Room of the library, at 821 E. State St.
Participants will register and receive the scavenger hunt clue list, rules and instructions. The clue list will be discussed and questions answered at that time. Participants will then have six days to complete the search.
Answers and evidence for the clues must be collected and taken for judging to the Dale Shaffer Research Library, South Lundy Avenue, between 1 and 3 p.m. June 9. Winners will be announced at 4 p.m.
