Man found in burned car was shot in head
WARREN
The death of Michael C. Anderson, 23, of Seventh Street Southwest in Warren Township has been ruled a homicide by the county coroner, as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.
Lordstown police and firefighters found Anderson’s body Wednesday inside a burned out car beside a cellphone tower on Industrial Trace Road near the GM Lordstown complex.
They were called to the location at 1:20 p.m. for a car on fire and discovered the body while putting out the fire.
The location is in a remote location away from houses and businesses.
The body was burned so much that investigators could not tell whether it belonged to a man or woman. Anderson was identified through dental records.
