TODAY

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will serve a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall in the lodge. The dinner is open to the public and consists of fish, chicken filets, french fries, coleslaw, dinner rolls, dessert, coffee and soft drink. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $6 for 12 and under. All proceeds will be donated to worthy and distressed Brothers. Carryout is available by calling 330-533-3077.

Austintown Eagle’s Banquet Center, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, will be the location of a fish fry and Lenten buffet from 4 to 8 p.m. The buffet consists of beer-battered, fried and baked cod, crab cakes, clam strips, hush puppies, haluski, pirogi, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, vegetable, salad bar and soup for $10.95. Boy Scout Troop 71 will serve its 49th all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road (Route 224), Berlin Center (in the old building behind the new). Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for ages 6 to 12; five and under eat free. Dine in or takeout.

Cardinal Mooney Baseball Team is sponsoring a fish fry from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Mooney cafeteria. Donation is $10. Dine in or takeout. Tickets available at the door.

Girard Eagles 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., are having a fish fry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the hall. The menu consists of fried or baked haddock, baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese or haluski, coffee, tea and dessert. The cost is $8. Carryout is available by calling 330-545-6619.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman (across from Boardman High School), is sponsoring Welcome and Waffles at 10:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall between worship services.

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 7 at the Salem Italian American Club, 250 Penn Ave. in Salem. Cost is $7 per ticket and children 5 and under are free. The meal consists of spaghetti with meatballs, salad or applesauce, Italian bread, coffee, tea or lemonade and dessert. All proceeds benefit the animals at Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary.

Campbell City Fest Committee is sponsoring a pasta dinner from noon to 4 p.m. April 7 at Campbell Elementary and Middle School Cafeteria, 2002 Community Circle, Campbell. Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield will have a drive through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. April 4. The cost is $7 and consists of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and brownie.
