St. Patrick conducts kindergarten screening

St. Patrick School, 38 E. Water St., will be conducting kindergarten screening from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 for incoming kindergarten students for the 2013-14 school year. Students must be registered for the 2013-14 school year before screenings.
To make an appointment for your child’s screening, call the school at 330-534-2509. To register your child for the 2013-14 school year, you will need to visit the school with copies of your child’s immunization records, Social Security number, birth certificate, baptismal certificate (if applicable) and a copy of legal custody papers (if applicable). Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 30 to enter kindergarten for the 2013-14 school year.
Children who will be 5 after Sept. 30, will be looked at on an individual basis. Contact the school at 330-534-2509 with questions.
Open house planned

CCW Academy, 585 Sanderson Ave., will be conducting its 37th annual open house from 9 a.m. to noon April 13.
The public is invited. Registration will occur during the open house for children age 21/2 to 5. A before- and after-school care program also is available for school-age children, with busing available.
