POLICE CALLS

A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Feb. 19

Menacing: Danielle Reese, 25, of 420 Logangate Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of menacing a resident at a New Leaf Residential Services home in the 200 block of Deer Trail Avenue.

March 1

Harassment: A woman reported harassment by her ex-husband at a home in the 10 block of Maple Street. No charges were filed.

March 16

Possession: Sara Ockenfels, 29, of 842 Walls Lake Drive, Vienna, was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs after police found a half of a hydrocodone pill in her possession.

AUSTINTOWN

March 11

Breaking and entering: Siding, a garage door, a water tank and other items were stolen from a home in the 70 block of Westminster Ave.

Theft: A backpack and its contents were stolen at Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A purse with three credit cards was taken at the BP gas station, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Lost wallet: A wallet and its contents were lost at Salsitas, 5495 Clarkins Drive.

Warrant: Jessica Sanders, 34, of 38 Whitman Lane, Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for felony larceny.

Burglary: A home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road was burglarized and property inside the home was damaged.

Burglary: Several items were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Huntmere Avenue.

Identity theft: A Lowes account was opened without authorization at a home in the 1000 block of Woodgate Street.

Burglary: A 32-inch Emerson television was stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

March 12

Theft: Christopher Soroka, 34, of 2450 S. Raccoon Road, No. 6, was arrested on a charge of theft at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: A Direct TV Satellite Dish was taken from a home in the 2000 block of Oak Trace Drive.

Theft: A wooden shelf was stolen from a home in the 40 block of Atlanta Avenue.

Animal cruelty: A dog was possibly poisoned at a home in the 2000 block of North Redgate Lane.

Warrant: Ricky Reese, 51, of 1414 Douglas Ave., Youngstown, was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence.

Theft: An ex-boyfriend is a suspect in a theft at a home in the 40 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Recovered property: Narcotics were recovered at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $50 bill was passed at the BP gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

March 13

Theft: A wedding ring, change and keys were taken from an auto at a home in the 6000 block of Heron’s Circle.

Auto theft: A vehicle was reported stolen at Austintown Pawn, 3700 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: A fraudulent transaction was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipe was removed from a home in the 5000 block of Argonne Drive, and Aaron Kramer, 23, of 42 Atlanta Drive, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

March 14

Fraud: A counterfeit check was reported at Austintown Pawn.

Theft: A mailbox was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Daytona Drive.

Warrant: Frankie Lockett, 22, of 985 W. Main Ave., Warren, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of domestic violence and receiving stolen property.

Theft: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 2000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Scratches on a rear door to the hood of a vehicle were reported at a home in the 500 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: At Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A laptop was taken from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

March 15

Aggravated menacing: Student-to-student threats were reported at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Breaking and entering: Copper piping was stolen from a basement at a home in the 3000 block of Cumberland Drive.

Identity theft: A Social Security number was used to get a tax refund at a home in the 6000 block of South Timberidge Avenue.

Recovered stolen vehicle: A Ford Explorer that had been stolen was recovered at Wendy’s, 5551 Interstate Blvd.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at apartments in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Theft: Several items were removed from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of Nashua Drive.

Theft: Two females walked out on a bill at BW3’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: A case of identity theft was reported at a home in the 5000 block of Stanford Avenue.

Warrant: Timothy Gray, 19, of 383 E. High St., Uhrichville, Ohio, was arrested on a warrant for breaking and entering, grand theft auto, tampering with evidence and theft.

Criminal damaging: A BB hole was found in a living-room window at a home in the 100 block of South Raccoon Road.

March 16

Warrant: Aaron Kramer, 23, of 42 Atlanta Drive, was arrested on warrants for breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was smashed out at a home in the 80 block of Marcia Drive.

Theft: A Red Bull drink was stolen at Sheetz gas station.

Theft: A wallet was taken at Burger King, 5310 Mahoning Ave.

March 17

Telecommunications harassment: A male reported receiving an unwanted call from unknown persons at a home in the 1000 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Warrant: David Lyle, 21, of 466 Annawan Lane, Youngstown, was arrested on a bench warrant for theft.

Obstructing official business: Dale Walker Jr., 30, of 1002 Zander Drive, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest after a fight at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Unauthorized transactions were made to an account at a home in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.

Warrant: Jessica Leedy, 32, of 57 N. Four Mile Run Road, was arrested on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

Menacing: Threats were received over the phone at a home in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Lamar Makle, 23, of 1805 Cromwell St., Youngstown, was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Criminal mischief: Soda was thrown on a vehicle at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: A back window was shattered at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.
