The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Youngstown and Vicinity will conduct a community worship service in observance of Holy Week at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 646 Lakewood Ave.
The theme is “HIS Finest Week,” which will examine the events that led to Christ’s death, burial and Resurrection.
Messengers for the service will include the Rev. Dr. Eugene Schoolfield III, pastor of St. Andrewes African Methodist Episcopal Church; the Rev. Robert Offerdahl, Coitsville Presbyterian Church and Native American Missions, a Dakota Presbytery Mission project; and evangelist Krista M. Tyson of Calvary Ministries International.
Pastor James Bowie Ellis is host pastor.
Special music will be provided by Sandra Miles, the Greater Friendship Baptist Church Choir and the Emancipation Community Choir under the direction of J. Luke Shumpert.
Elder Cynthia Wright Palmer is the program committee chairwoman.
The service is open to all.
